Adventures in Motherhood...

No I didn't have kids suddenly, well I sort of did. I've been kid-sitting since Friday. It has been delightful to say the least. There is something that warms my heart about kids, their brutal honesty, unlimited forgiveness, never ending imagination, and belly filled laughs! We've done a lot and seen a lot this wknd: water fights... yes thats plural the 2nd one the whole neighborhood got in on, a lot of basketball, soccer games, tennis, cooking, pictionary, outburst, church, lunches, the list continues. Those of you that do this daily, moms, you know the list doesn't stop.

Yesterday at church, we all loaded up and went then hit lunch out afterwards, Matt talked about the five love languages. Everyone knows mine are all 5, haha. Seriously though words of affirmation is mine no question, words of affirmation on cards (so gifts too I guess). I digress! At lunch we all sat around and shared what we thought our love languages are. It was the 2nd most favorite thing I love: SIGNIFICANT CONVERSATION! This weekend the Lord has been revealing that it is about the current moment. Not about the upcoming stuff or where I like to live in the past stuff but this very moment. Some of my friends packed up and went to a women's weekend and my heart longed to be there @ Rockbridge w/ them. My prayer on Friday and all weekend was to be present with eyes open expecting God to provide life giving moments for me... that He has done. I can officially say I'm glad I was here v. there.
