So this week my serving team in the dining hall has concentrated on this verse and each day we end with telling one another how we have seen God be faithful throughout our day. Each morning we start with quiet time by ourselves with God (reading about His love) so it is only right that we end each day with time proclaiming His faithfulness. It has been such a neat way to see God move in our own lives, having to be aware of what He is doing and such a fun way to see Him move in the lives of our friends!
I'm almost finished with assignment, I'll process when I get home and this race has finished but already I can see some themes that God is teaching me.
1) I love community- NO SHOCKER and I already knew this. While my fellowship in Charleston is great I've forgotten what it is like to have roommates and how fantastic they can be.
2) I'm inadequate. This isn't a bad thing just sometimes I forget that I'm not capable of taking on the world and everything in it. The first week of assignment was horrible, turns out as much as I like to think I'm good at everything I'm not! Thats hard to swallow sometimes lol. Yet with God's provision whether I'm capable or not I'll be able to "get through."
3) He promises more than just "getting through". He promises abundance and that is what He has provided for me the remainder of my time here. An abundance of grace, love, forgiveness, energy, peace, compassion, wisdom.... the list goes on and on. Trust me when I say I've been willing and eager to throw the towel in a bunch of times and yet the next day, hour, or minute is always perfectly timed to be so much better.
Please continue to pray for me and my time here as I finish up and come home!!!
