I thought about writing some silly slightly off colored title for this blog about women... but I choose what I love the most about us. Wednesdays are great days for me, odd huh seeing at it is the "hump day". My Wednesdays are spent with some of the greatest women I know each week. Usually (not today) Stacy and I get to hang out and work out together, I have supper club with up to 10 of my girlfriends, and then I head to bible study with Laura and Steffanie.
I love women, any age!!!! There is something that God has stirred in my heart for women over the past 3 or 4 years. There is nothing like laughing uncontrollably together, till you have a 3 pack of abs, crying until all the tissues are gone and then
you are somehow laughing again, sharing your heart about REAL struggles and issues (we've all got them) and just being hugged!!!
Tonight at dinner, Jane hosted (we rotate each week), her mom came downstairs and asked if we were always this loud! :) YES!!!! We are. There is something about spending time, eating a meal with women you truly enjoy and delight in hanging out with. I hope in 10 years these girls will look back on these treasured times together and see th
e true heart of God... caring, fun, compassionate, grace filled, consistent, thoughtful, and truly delighted in the time we spend with him. These dinners each week have been water for my thirsty soul each week. We've covered topics of seeing our grandparents make out (thanks Nicki), favorite child hood vacations, favorite scripture, and how God woos us each day in our own special ways. I don't have pictures from tonight's dinner but I have posted one I hosted a couple weeks ago.
If you don't spend time regularly with women... add it to your must do list ASAP!!!
