You may be wondering why I'm writing about going home when I only live about 10 minutes away from the house I grew up in. I very rarely get up to my dad's house and it is even more rare that everyone is in at the same time. This past weekend Megan, John, and Kaitlin and I all gathered at good ole Hollister to celebrate Christmas. I unfortunately got the flu on Friday so my body wasn't at Hollister till mid morning on Saturday, and I didn't really show up till Sunday. Even though I was unable to eat all weekend and missed out on the normal Sommerville Christmas board game festivities it is still just so very comforting to be at home, especially when you're sick. It was nice to lay on the couch, and have people bring me stuff too :)
Not only did we just hang out and have a great weekend we also went to the church that I grew up in. I haven't been to a church service there in probably four years. I do love getting to see old familiar faces, and getting caught up on what has happened over the years, where other kids are, what parents are now doing, and just seeing Ron and Jan (even though I see Jan at the Y all the time lol) I just love her!!!!!
My favorite part of the whole weekend was while we were at church talking to some old friends, one older gentleman of the church said about me "You don't look like yourself at all, YOU"RE BEAUTIFUL" lol awww the compliments, I think.
