Greetings from the not so sunny state :( I was not expecting Florida to be this chilly. It was 64 degrees today but I had gotten used to the 70+ degree weather of last week. To give you a little bit more insight where I am, I'm about 10 miles from the Gulf -- crazy huh? Yesterday I got to sit and listen to Dale Bruner speak for hours on John. The man is so incredible. He has the Gospels memorized in English and in Greek. WHOA!!!! I was complaining about having to remember 18 verses lol :)
Things are good here. I'm a little under the weather though so please pray hard for my health. I've decided to post some of my notes from Dale on here but I can't figure out how I want to do it. If anyone has any suggestions for posting it without taking up my whole page let me know!!!!
This morning we met in our small groups for about an hour it was really neat to get to hear about others lives and where they are on staff. We had some guests here from YL Africa and one of them sat in on our group, which was great. Bob and Claudia Mitchell (former YL president) left yesterday. Before they did though they had another meeting that was optional and he told so many great YL stories. When he first came on staff he drove 7 1/2 hrs once a week to do campaigners,club, and contact work he also had a club 4hrs away and one right in that town where he lived. It makes driving to Hoover seem so much shorter than 20 minutes :)
Well I better head out Dale Bruner is teaching again this evening so I'm off to class.
