Consistently Inconsistent

I haven't been the greatest at keeping my blog up to date, which is funny because I am always telling other people to update their blogs!

Last week I was kid-sitting two middle school children while their parents took a much deserved week away. While they were sky diving, wine tasting, and doing all things I wish I had been doing I got to hang out with their cool kids. In the process of kid-sitting (which I do often) I get to learn all kinds of stuff. This past week I got to learn the value of a great neighborhood. Growing up Megan and I had a bunch of kids in our neighborhood that were our age, we were constantly playing outside with everyone. As a kid this was the best we had people to play with all the time, but oh did I miss out on the bliss that it offers parents! The neighborhood I stayed in had one of my best friends (and her family) right next door! Seriously right beside me! Stacy and I walked in the morning, popped by for coffee and chats, and the kids were outside playing together the whole time. This grouping of houses has probably 10-12 kids that are all the same age, and all boys! Nerf gun wars, soccer, fort building you name it they did it. Every couple of hours I'd go outside yell their names to make sure they were alive and back to work inside I'd go.

So on the top 10 list of must haves:
A NEIGHBORHOOD FULL OF KIDS THE SAME AGE!!!!

*awww delightful*
