Highways and cookouts...

I wish I was famous so that the paparazzi would follow me around not because I think I'm great but just so I wouldn't have to worry about taking pictures of my life. This morning I'm shooting myself in the foot for not ever taking pictures. This weekend I headed up 79 to the Conrad's cookout in Pittsburgh.

First I stopped in Morgantown on Friday to see my little guy, Ethan (sure Megan and John too). I hadn't seen him since before assignment and it is amazing how much he has grown in just those few short months. I'm excited to spend all next weekend with him on our annual camping trip. I may be singing a different tune after the weekend if he doesn't sleep through the night.

2nd I went by the Tuel's on my way out of town. I was kind of nervous that Ted and Sophie wouldn't remember me. When you aren't around for awhile it is easy to forget especially when you're little. I walked in and they remembered me! *sigh of relief* Although Ted was a little unsure of why I was actually there he warmed up. It was great to see the Tuels. I miss them. They are doing BIG things in Morgantown for the Lord and I am excited that they are there... I just wish they were here doing big things there... does that make sense? No I didn't think so :)

I amaze myself at my navigational skills. I really am amazed. I can go some place once and pretty much remember my way around, even if I wasn't driving. I made my way to the Allevato's (John did a great job with the new house and Shawna did a great job decorating). Shawna and I then spent the day shopping and hanging out it was so good to see her. We went up early to Mark and Melissa's (about 30 min north of the Allevato's house). We helped Melissa and Mark prep a little and just had fun hanging out with them before all the guests arrived. It was nice to be in a smaller group of friends before everyone got there. Once everyone arrived though it was good to meet new people and catch up with old friends. Mark did a great job grilling and Melissa was a fabulous host. I'm not as young as I once was though. At midnight I was ready to call it a day. I stayed with Melissa and Mark and then headed back to have lunch with John and Shawna and then left and headed back down 79.

One more pit stop... ETHAN! We went to Mom's for dinner and my Sparks grandparents were in town. It was good to sit and catch up with them. I decided to drive back to Charleston that night and arrived home about 11pm last night. It was good to wake up in my own bed and get the day started bright and early.

Great weekend adventures.... stay tuned next weekend it is who can make it back alive!
