Every year I try and make veggies over the fire, and every year something goes wrong. When will I learn that the wooden skewers can't stand up to actual flames?? The pic above is the veggies that made it, while the pic below is dad and I before the fire engulfed the others.
We have a new addition to our campsite this year. It is a real crowd pleaser. The traveling hammock with mosquito net. Want a bug bite free nap? Zip yourself up with the net over you. Don't want to use the net? No problem just flip it over. It really is AMAZING!
The picture below was the first trial run of the hammock I was a little uneasy to be the first to try it out but it held up nicely.
Midge's annual chopping wood fest. She loves that hatchet, and amazingly enough she has yet to actually get hurt.
