I'm not crazy I promise. I love Monday mornings they give you a great time to reflect your weekend. The days that you look forward to every week and then fly by so quickly. This past weekend I got to experience God in so many fun ways. Friday night I went to a cookout for an high school AP English class. They had finished their AP test and were celebrating their freedom. For anyone who thinks that YL is easy please read here. I had to walk into a high school AP cookout, and I'm not in their class, I'm not even in high school. That voice came full force saying "What are you doing you are 25, they are going to think you are an IDIOT." After much prayer and a very large butterfly in my stomach I walked up the hill to the shelter for the cookout. God doesn't ask you to go into a situation that he wouldn't go into himself. Of course it was an amazing time and the kids were fantastic to hang out with and get to know.
1.) God strengthens! (Joshua 1:1-7)
Then I helped with preschool @ the ridge yesterday. I got to spend time with an amazing godly woman who has a sweet and tender heart for God's little one's. It was a great time of twirling, laughter, story telling, snack time, and genuine worship. The heart of a preschool kid is so neat. From the honest answers in share time, "my favorite time is snack", to the eagerness as they listen to a bible story for the first time.
2.) God is excitement! (every bible story in the whole bible)
To top off the amazing weekend, I went to a Mother Blessing, my first. For those who have never been a part of a Mother Blessing it is truly a special time. You prayer over the mother to be, and the new baby on the way. It is a time of reflection of your own mother, a time to say prayers over anxiousness or fear. A time to encourage and to uplift. Most of all though you pray for the little one that has not yet been born but that God has written his/her story. That God knows what sex the child will be, their name, the day they enter this world, and every thing that God has ordained. We can take great comfort in knowing that God is the giver of life, actual birth, and life to the fullest!
3.) God is LIFE!!! (John 10:10)
